# UAE, Qatar Hold 7th Joint Committee Meeting to Strengthen Economic Ties

**Abu Dhabi (TDI):** The United Arab Emirates and Qatar held the 7th session of the UAE-Qatar Higher Joint Committee at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday.

The high-level meeting was co-chaired by UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan alongside the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

The session served as a vital platform to review the progress of bilateral cooperation and outline a comprehensive roadmap for future strategic partnerships across multiple sectors.

During the proceedings, both co-chairs emphasized the deep-rooted fraternal bonds and shared sense of unity between the two Gulf nations.

DPM UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed highlighted the UAE’s commitment to strengthening close cooperation while both sides described the atmosphere as reflecting strong coordination and alignment of perspectives.

The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, education and culture alongside addressing key regional priorities such as food security and environmental sustainability.

The dialogue highlighted a shift toward a more integrated phase of relations, aimed at enhancing mutual economic prosperity and regional stability.

The session concluded with the signing of the minutes of the 7th meeting and the advancement of several memoranda of understanding designed to deepen economic integration.

In a joint statement, both countries affirmed that bilateral relations are entering a more cooperative phase under the leadership of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Both sides agreed to hold the 8th session of the committee in Qatar at a mutually determined date ensuring the continued momentum of high-level institutional engagement.

In a related diplomatic engagement on the same day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani where they discussed plans to further strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation across multiple fields.
