# Trump Declares ‘Total Victory’ After Iran Ceasefire

**Washington (TDI):** US President Donald Trump has described the ceasefire agreement with Iran as a “total and complete victory,” expressing strong confidence in the outcome despite lingering uncertainties around the deal.

In a phone conversation with AFP, Trump said the United States had achieved all its major objectives following more than a month of intense military confrontation involving both US and Israeli forces. The ceasefire, which will last for two weeks, was finalized shortly before a deadline set by Washington for further escalation.

“Total and complete victory. One hundred percent,” Trump said, leaving little room for doubt about how he views the agreement.

The deal, which came after diplomatic efforts led in part by Pakistan, is seen as a temporary pause in hostilities. Both Washington and Tehran have presented the outcome as favorable to their respective positions, even as key details remain unclear.

Trump indicated that discussions are already underway for a broader agreement. According to him, a 15-point framework has been drafted, with significant progress made on most issues. He also acknowledged that Iran had shared its own proposal, describing it as workable.

One of the most critical concerns, Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium, was addressed only briefly. Trump insisted that the matter would be “perfectly taken care of” under any final arrangement, though he did not elaborate on how that would be achieved.

The US president also suggested that China may have quietly influenced the situation, saying he had heard Beijing played a role in encouraging Iran to enter negotiations. China maintains close ties with Tehran and remains a major buyer of Iranian oil, much of which moves through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

Despite his optimism, Trump avoided committing to what steps the US might take if the agreement collapses. When asked whether military threats could return, he simply replied, “You’ll have to see.”

The coming days, particularly any follow-up talks, are likely to determine whether this ceasefire evolves into a more durable agreement or proves to be just a temporary pause in a volatile standoff.
