Trump Claims He Can Easily End Pak-Afghan Conflict

Washington (TDI): US President Donald Trump has claimed that ending the ongoing Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict would be “very easy,” asserting that he has already resolved eight global conflicts within the past eight months, including tensions between Pakistan and India and the Gaza crisis.

Speaking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, Trump said he takes pride in bringing peace to conflict zones despite being focused on running the United States.

“I understand there’s an attack going on between Pakistan and Afghanistan, that’s an easy one for me to solve if I have to,” Trump remarked. “All of these wars had nothing to do with us, but I’ve saved tens of millions of lives. The Prime Minister of Pakistan said I saved millions of lives when I interceded between Pakistan and India, two nuclear nations. That could have been a very bad one.”

Trump further claimed that his administration has “solved eight wars,” citing examples across the Middle East, Armenia, Rwanda, the Congo, and Thailand. He emphasized that his mediation efforts, particularly in the Middle East peace process, were among his most surprising achievements.

The US president made the comments as Zelensky visited Washington to seek additional military support for Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia. However, Trump shifted focus toward his recent peace summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, arguing that his diplomatic track record justifies recognition such as the Nobel Peace Prize.

“Every time I solve one conflict, they forget the last one,” he said. “They tell me, ‘If you solve the next one, you’ll get the Nobel Prize.’ I didn’t get one, someone else did, a very nice woman, but I don’t know who she is.”

Earlier last week, while en route to Israel aboard Air Force One, Trump told reporters he was aware of rising tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan but would handle it after returning from the Middle East.

“This will be my eighth war that I’ve solved,” he said. “I’m good at solving wars. Think about India and Pakistan, wars that lasted 30 or 40 years with millions killed, I got them done, in most cases, within a day. That’s pretty good.”

Following the signing of the Gaza peace agreement in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded Trump as a “genuine man of peace.” Standing alongside global leaders, Shehbaz said the world was witnessing “one of the greatest days in modern history.”

“He [Trump] has brought peace not only to South Asia, saving millions of lives, but also to the Middle East,” Shehbaz stated. “Had it not been for this gentleman, a full-scale war between two nuclear powers could have erupted. His timely intervention averted catastrophe.”

The prime minister praised Trump’s “visionary leadership” and said history would remember him as the leader who “stopped seven, and now eight, wars.” “President Trump’s relentless efforts have made the world a place of peace and prosperity,” Shehbaz concluded. “His name will be remembered in golden words.”
