The two days UN biological Weapons Convention

Geneva, 2 September 2021 (TDI): UN biological Weapons Convention took place at Palace of Nations, in Room 19. The convention was led by Mr. Kazuhiro Nakai of Japan.

Experts from different fields attended the convention. The experts discussed and reviewed the Developments in the Field of Science and Technology. The main agenda of the convention was to review science and technological advancements. The experts in the convention also deliberated on the improved employment of all the articles enshrined in the convention charter.

The 2 day Convention under Mr. Kazuhiro Nakai reviewed Biological risk calculation and administration as well as the possible threats to the new developments in science and technology. In Addition, the Establishment of a code of conduct for Scientists and personnel was also drafted in the convention. Enhanced Biosecurity Education and the activities of multilateral organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) was also reviewed by the Experts.
