Amsterdam, 25 August 2021 (TDI): Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Tom De Bruijn spoke with European Commissioner Janez Lenarcic. Minister Tom De Bruijn asserted that there is no time to waste to control the current difficulties of Afghans.
Moreover, both discussed the evacuation efforts and humanitarian assistance of the international community in Afghanistan. Dutch Minister was pleased to hear that the EU had raised its budget for humanitarian aid for the Afghan people up to 200 million Euros. This budget will be for immediate assistance for Afghan citizens, especially for women and children. The international community will not abandon the Afghan nation in any case.
