Dushanbe, 5 September 2024 (TDI): Business leaders from Tajikistan and Tatarstan convened in Dushanbe to explore new opportunities for economic cooperation.
The forum, organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of both regions, culminated in the signing of a cooperation agreement aimed at fostering closer ties between their respective business communities.
A high-level delegation from Tatarstan, led by Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Korobchenko, participated in the forum.
Korobchenko expressed optimism over the deepening ties between the two regions, stating, “It is encouraging that Tatarstan companies are developing cooperation with partners from Tajikistan, and our business mission confirms this.
“I know that Tajikistan is actively working on the creation of technology parks, and Tatarstan is ready to offer all the accumulated positive experience.”
The forum was opened by Shamil Ageev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan, who underscored the importance of such platforms in strengthening bilateral relations.
“Events like these provide opportunities for new meetings and collaborations,” Ageev remarked.
“The modern world is filled with unpredictability, and we are ready to navigate these uncertainties.
Our task is to connect you with useful contacts, and we are committed to working towards this.”
Sherali Kabir, Tajikistan’s Minister of Industry and New Technologies, emphasized that the primary goal of the forum was to boost industrial cooperation, attract more investments, and train skilled personnel to meet future needs.
B2B Negotiations
The forum also featured B2B negotiations, with over 60 enterprises from Tajikistan participating to explore mutual business interests.
Tatarstan’s business delegation is scheduled to remain in Tajikistan until September 6, during which they will assess the country’s economic potential and visit various enterprises.
