Sudan received US donation of vaccines

Khartoum, 6 August 2021 (TDI): Sudan received 606,700 single doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday at Khartoum International Airport.

America along with the partnership of COVAX, Gavi, and the African Union, stepped forward to help the people in Sudan. The collaboration of providing a single dose J&J vaccines aims at enabling over 600,000 Sudanese people to be fully vaccinated with just a single shot.

The Health Minister of Sudan, Dr. Omer Mohamed Elngieb said that he received 606,700 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as a first shipment, and made arrangements at the central vaccine warehouse to receive shipment. He further adds that technical committees have completed the number of meetings for the implementation of vaccinations and are ready to start the vaccination.
