ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership is vital for regional stability and prosperity.
In a post on X, he highlighted that the historic visit of Chinese Premier Li Qiang would further strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two nations.
He said that both sides would review the progress of existing initiatives, particularly the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and explore new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation during the premier’s visit.
Upon his arrival at Noor Khan Air Base, Premier Li Qiang described the China-Pakistan relationship as “a good example of bilateral friendship.”
He expressed gratitude to the Pakistani people for their warm welcome and emphasized the mutual support shared between the two countries.
He also noted that the people of China hold a deep affection for Pakistan, recognizing it as an important developing nation.

Li Qiang remarked on Pakistan’s status as an emerging market and one of the largest Muslim countries. He expressed satisfaction and enthusiasm about participating in the upcoming SCO meeting in Islamabad.

This marks the first visit by a Chinese premier to Pakistan in 11 years. Premier Li was welcomed with a red carpet upon his arrival for a four-day bilateral visit, during which he will engage with Pakistan’s leadership and attend the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting.
