Sri Lankan Ambassador visits Nepali Foreign Minister

Kathmandu, 7 October 2021 (TDI): The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal, Himalee Arunatilaka paid a visit to the Nepali Foreign Minister, Narayan Khadka.

Nepal’s Foreign Minister welcomed the Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He devoutly thanked Ambassador Arunatilaka for the congratulatory message from Sri Lankan Foreign Minister G.L. Peiris. The Sri Lankan counterpart congratulated Minister Khadka as he has been appointed as Foreign Minister of Nepal last month.

The matters of mutual interests and benefits were discussed in the meeting. They emphasized working together to strengthen ties for the betterment of both states and the region. The diplomatic ties between Nepal and Sri Lanka were established in 1957. The historical relations between both South Asian countries were founded on strong cultural and religious links.
