Shenzhen (TDI): 10,197 drones lit up the sky celebrating National Day, setting two world records for China’s drone show over Shenzhen.
The event, held on September 26 in Shenzhen Bay Park, broke two records at the Guinness World Records. Firstly, the largest aerial image produced by drones, and second, the highest number of drones flying concurrently.
Drones captured famous aspects of Shenzhen’s rich history and architecture in a portion called “Sky City” of the breathtaking presentation, which included complex designs and cultural icons.
During the show, China’s leadership in drone technology and aerial shows was demonstrated with the city’s traditions.

For the week-long event, over 10,000 drones will light up the night sky every evening in Shenzhen’s five districts, producing brand-new visual spectacles.
Drone shows have taken on the role of conventional fireworks displays as a safe and creative way to showcase China’s technological supremacy. Drone performances feature environmentally friendly lighting effects.
Drone swarm technology has potential uses in logistics, defense, and surveillance in entertainment. It allows thousands of drones to be coordinated from a single computer.
China continues establishing itself as a global leader in this industry, as seen by its dominant position in drone production and its proficiency with aerial displays.

The event reinforced Shenzhen’s reputation as a center of technical innovation by introducing “cyber fireworks,” a digital substitute for traditional pyrotechnics, in addition to the drone show.
