Slovenian Foreign Minister addresses OECD Ministerial meeting

Paris, 6 October 2021 (TDI): The Slovenian Foreign Minister attended the Ministerial meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)
and addressed on the behalf of the government of Slovenia.

The OECD was also celebrating its 60th anniversary. It is an international organization aiming to formulate better policies for better lives. It also aims for providing solutions for the economic and environmental challenges. Its goal is to promote liberal democracy in the world which can provide equal opportunities to people for the well bbeing of all.
In his address to the meeting, he emphasized the role of multilateralism in this challenging world. He talked about the coronavirus pandemic which has united the world to cooperate in a difficult time.
He further stressed that international cooperation is the only way to tackle the unprecedented challenges of the future. As regardless of “intense disagreements” on some issues with certain countries, they are ready to cooperate with any nation on shared challenges. The success of countries is bound up in others succeeding as well Indeed, our security, our prosperity, and our very freedoms are interconnected as never before.
