Slovak Republic’s Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok attends UNGA session

New York, 21 September 2021 (TDI): Ivan Korcok, Slovak Republic’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, attends the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City.

He stated that he is looking forward to the 76th UNGA since global solutions continue to be the greatest answer to the numerous worldwide issues, and Slovakia will be a part of these efforts.

Today, Foreign Minister Korcok had an important discussion with European Union Foreign Minister about the need to prevent humanitarian crisis and strengthen stability in Afghanistan. One of the most important stages in achieving this aim would be to establish a regional political platform.

The United Nations General Assembly is one of the United Nations’ six principal organs, functioning as the UN’s main deliberation, policymaking, and representational organ. The powers, composition, functions, and processes of the United Nations are outlined in Chapter IV of the United Nations Charter.
