# PM Shehbaz, Bill Gates Reaffirm Partnership in Health, Digital Innovation, Development

**New York (TDI):** Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Bill Gates, Chair of the Gates Foundation, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where the two discussed expanding cooperation in a range of key areas.

The Prime Minister conveyed his gratitude to the Gates Foundation for its generous assistance in response to the 2025 floods in Pakistan, noting that the organization had also played a major role in providing relief during the devastating floods of 2022.

He praised the Foundation’s long-standing support to Pakistan’s polio eradication drive, immunization and nutrition programs, as well as its contributions to promoting financial inclusion.

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to eliminate polio, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that continued collaboration with the Gates Foundation would be critical to achieving this goal.
