Rawalpindi (TDI): The Rawalpindi administration on Tuesday extended the closure of educational institutions in the district for another day in view of the law and order situation and PTI’s ongoing protest.
The notification says that all institutes including schools and colleges will stay closed on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema said that the closure of educational institutions was extended following recommendations of the district intelligence committee.

It is pertinent to mention here that schools, colleges, and other educational institutions were also shut in the capital due to the PTI protest march.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have taken control of Islamabad’s D-Chowk and pushed back PTI protesters after clashes erupted between security forces and rallygoers.

The PTI supporters, who reached D-Chowk earlrier, had attempted to remove the container blocking the Red Zone in the federal capital, prompting police to evacuate the area.
