Islamabad, 18 April 2022 (TDI): The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, visited the newly appointed Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, today.

The Ambassador congratulated him on his election as Prime Minister and emphasized Saudi Arabia’s intention to expand bilateral ties.
The Prime Minister recalled his recent discussion with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman and added that they had agreed to collaborate to elevate Pakistan-Saudi ties. He also extended his warm greetings to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.
The Prime Minister further praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership for their vision of developing the country in a remarkable manner. He also expressed his gratitude and praise to the Saudi Ambassador for his contribution to improving Pakistan-Saudi relations.
The Prime Minister also praised the contribution of the Pakistani community working in Saudi Arabia to the two countries’ success and development. He expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership and administration for ensuring their safety and livelihood.
Finally, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have fraternal relations defined by mutual trust, close cooperation, and shared perspectives on all topics of mutual concern. He concluded by reaffirming his government’s commitment to advancing these historic and long-standing ties by seeking new areas of cooperation.

Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia share cordial relations. Pakistan has an embassy in the Saudi capital Riyadh and Saudi Arabia has an embassy in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.
