Russia-Pakistan Joint Military Exercise ‘Druzhba-VI’ concludes

Moscow, 10 October 2021 (TDI): Russia-Pakistan joint military exercise ‘Druzhba-VI’ concluded on 9 October. The closing ceremony was held at Molkino Training Area, Krasnodar, Russia.

According to ISPR, the military’s media wing, senior officials from Pakistan and Russia attended the ceremony. There was also a weapon and equipment display parade.
Druzhba-VI was a two-week-long exercise. It started on September 28, 2021. The exercise covered the domain of counter-terrorism. Special Forces of Pakistan and Russia practiced various drills aimed at Joint Terrorism Operations.

Special Forces of Pakistan and Russia conduct Druzhba (Friendship) military exercises annually since 2016. The exercise focuses on sharing mutual experience and building capability in the counterterrorism and special operations domain.

In the previous month, the two countries held  Third Round of Russia-Pakistan Joint Military Consultative Committee (JMCC). Both sides agreed to further strengthen bilateral military ties in diverse sectors including military exercises, intelligence sharing, and defense-industrial cooperation.
