# Rise of Electric Planes in Beijing’s Low-Altitude Market

**Beijing (TDI):** Beijing’s low-altitude economy received a boost on Monday when the RX1E-A, a two-seat electric planes that China independently built, made its inaugural flight at Badaling Airport.

In 2017, Shenyang, Liaoning province saw the inaugural flight of the RX1E-A type, an upgraded variant of the nation’s first electric planes. Experience flights and pilot flying instruction are its primary uses.

With a maximum range of 240 kilometers and a flight endurance of 150 minutes, the RX1E-A is a highly safe aircraft with the option of a whole-plane parachute system.
