Doha, 7 October 2021 (TDI): The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government of Libya, Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba arrived in Doha yesterday evening. This is one of the official meetings that Libya has had in the Gulf country since the establishment of the new cabinet.

The Libyan representative and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at Doha International Airport. At the place, Qatari authorities and the Libyan Ambassador in Qatar were waiting for his arrival.

Since the end of the war, Qatar has reiterated its support to Libya’s internationally-backed political process. Moreover, considers this step as vital to ending 10 years of chaos and foreign interference in the North African country.

In May of this year, Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani expressed that the State is supporting the UN-sponsored political process. In that way, it preserves the territorial integrity of Libya.

This is the fourth country Qatar has joined this week, followed by Iran, Pakistan, and the UAE.
