Tallin, 13 October 2021 (TDI): The Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas met with Denys Shmyal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Prime Minister will in addition to his visit to Estonia also visit Sweden.
Kaja Kallas, the Prime Minister of Estonia congratulated the Ukrainian Prime Minister for hosting a successful EU-Ukraine Summit. She further stated that Estonia and Ukraine are good friends and will expand their cooperation. She also discussed the cyber security policies with her Ukrainian counterpart. Cooperation in the digital economy was also discussed in their meeting.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to meet with the Estonian Prime Minister. He stressed strengthening the bilateral relations by expanding cooperation in economy, trade, energy, and digital technology. He also thanked Estonia for its support for the membership of Ukraine in the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Center of Excellence (CCDCOE) based in Tallinn.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine also expressed his gratitude to the Estonian government for providing humanitarian, technical, and financial assistance to Ukraine. Estonia and Ukraine enjoy close relations. Estonia has been one of the biggest supporters of Ukraine. The two countries tend to enhance cooperation to strengthen their bilateral relations.
