Beijing, 18 May 2024 (TDI): Chinese President Xi Jinping declared on Thursday that China is prepared to collaborate with Arab nations to create a China-Arab community with a shared destiny at a higher level.
In addition, Xi said this in a letter of congratulations to Bahrain’s King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who serves as the League of Arab States’ rotating chairperson, on the organization of the 33rd Arab League Summit in Bahrain.
Moreover, Xi stated that the Arab League has long been dedicated to advancing peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East as well as striving for unity and self-strengthening within the Arab community.
Arab nations have remained independent, supported development and revitalization, maintained justice and fairness, and protected regional peace and stability in the face of changes in the world, the times, and history in recent years, according to Xi.
Furthermore, he also stated that Arab nations are becoming more and more crucial in bolstering solidarity and cooperation for the “Global South” and in defending their shared interests.
Xi emphasized that the existing relationship between China and the Arab world is now experiencing its most favorable time in history. In December 2022, he participated in the inaugural China-Arab States Summit Alongside Arab leaders.
During the summit, they formulated a comprehensive plan for the advancement of China-Arab ties and committed to exerting maximum effort in establishing a China-Arab community that embraces a shared destiny in this new era.
Additionally, for more than a year, China and Arab nations have seen an increase in political confidence, active cooperation in pragmatic issues, and significant cross-cultural and interpersonal exchanges. President Xi stressed that their collaboration has yielded favorable outcomes in various domains.
In order to strengthen the friendship between China and the Arab world, build a more developed China-Arab community with a shared future, and contribute to the creation of a global community with a shared future, China is willing to work with the Arab world.

Lastly, Xi expressed his confidence that the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum’s 10th ministerial conference, which will take place in Beijing at the end of this month, will provide a chance to expand cooperation in a number of areas and result in more advantages for both parties.
