# President Xi Jinping holds talks with Kyrgyz counterpart

**Xian, 18 May 2023 (TDI)**: President Xi Jinping holds talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov on the sidelines of the China-Central Asia Summit. President Xi Jinping welcomed President Sadyr Zhaparov to China on a state visit and to attend the China-Central Asia Summit.

President Xi Jinping recalled that he met with President Sadyr Zhaparov twice last year and reached important agreements on the development of China-Kyrgyzstan bilateral relations and multifaceted cooperation. President Xi added that the agreements are effectively implemented and have provided a boost to the development of relations between the two countries.

Both leaders met during the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Games. Both sides had an in-depth and pragmatic discussion and reached many common understandings. During the meeting, President Xi stressed the need of on deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in an all-round way.

President Xi also said that China is ready to jointly form a community of common destiny with the aim of good neighborliness and common prosperity and develop all-around cooperation to benefit the development and revival of China and Kyrgyzstan.
