Islamabad, 16 May 2022 (TDI): The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi visited the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Pakistan, today.
He offered sincere condolences on the death of former President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the royal family, the people and the Government of UAE.

President Arif Alvi conveyed his sorrow over the demise of the former President of UAE. He said that Pakistan was profoundly saddened over the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The President underscored that the former Emirati President was a true and sincere friend of Pakistan and its people. Moreover, his demise was a tremendous loss for both UAE and Pakistan.
President Alvi stated that he wanted to get the feelings of the Pakistani nation registered. Along these lines, he expressed that Pakistan shared the sorrow of the royal family as well as the people of the UAE.
In addition, the President of Pakistan also stated that Pakistan-UAE ties under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan were further bolstered.
During his visit, President Alvi also paid homage to the Late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for Pakistan. In the same vein, he reiterated the resolve to improve the ties between the two countries.
Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, the Ambassador of UAE thanked the President of Pakistan for the condolence. He enunciated that Pakistan and UAE enjoy strong relations.
Likewise, the Emirati Ambassador also lauded the contributions of the Pakistani community to the economic development of the UAE.
