Islamabad, 24 March 2022 (TDI): President Arif Alvi presented civic awards on citizens and foreign nationals for gallantry and competence in their respective sectors on Wednesday.
The President awarded Nishan-i-Imtiaz to Mohammad Naeem for his efforts in the field of science (chemistry), as well as Nazar Mohammad Rashid alias N.M. Rashid and Majeed Amjad alias Abdul Majeed for their achievements in literature, in an amazing event at the President House.
President Dr. Arif Alvi conferred Civil Awards upon Pakistanis in recognition of their services for #Pakistan and humanity, at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Dr. Inamur Rehman (nuclear physics), Dr. Qamar Mehboob (nuclear engineering), Tahir Ikram (mechanical engineering), Rohail Hayat (art, music, composing), and Kishwar Naheed (literary) were all awarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
For their services to Pakistan, Mohamad Azmi Abdul Hamid and religious scholar Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili (Oman) were awarded Sitara-i-Pakistan.
For their bravery, Mohammad Bux Buriro, Reshma, and Col Shafiullah Khan, Mohammad Akbar Khan, Iqbal Masih, Abdul Ghaffar Shaikh, Zia Hussain, Tabasum Shabbir Awan, Irfan Ahmed Durrani, Asadullah Qureshi, Mohammad Ali, Ahmed Ali, Sadiq Hussain received Sitara-i-Shujaat.
Dr. Syed Hussain Abidi (science), Rashid Rana (arts), Syed Aqeel Bilgrami (architecture), Mehmoodul Haq Alvi (services to humanity), and Salman Iqbal (sports promotion) received Sitara-i-Imtiaz from the President.
Syed Tajamul Hussain (science), Prof Dr Yasir Ayaz (engineering), Shakeela Naz (artist), and Irfanullah Jan received the President’s Pride of Performance medals (services to humanity). For his philanthropy, the President bestowed the Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam to Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood.
Tamgha-i-Imtiaz was awarded to Dr. Mohammad Abid, Momina Duraid Qureshi, and Asad Mehmood for their contributions to engineering, drama, and the environment, respectively.
