PM Shehbaz Vows Total Eradication of Terrorism

Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday vowed to inflict a decisive and crushing defeat on terrorists, ensuring they will never again dare to cast an evil eye on Pakistan.

Speaking at a high-level meeting on law and order situation in the country, he reiterated the government’s commitment to completely eradicating terrorism.

“The fight to eradicate terrorism will continue, and we will crush terrorists in such a way that they will never think of challenging Pakistan again,” the Prime Minister said.

He further said that Pakistan’s economic progress, a clear sign of its resilience, has instilled fear in its enemies.

He praised the proactive measures taken by different institutions and provincial governments in eliminating terrorism, commending the tireless efforts of security forces.

“Our brave security forces are confronting terrorists day and night, sacrificing their lives for the nation,” the PM said.

He assured full cooperation from the central government to enhance the provinces’ capabilities in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

The premier also said that the federal government, in cooperation with provincial governments, is strengthening the narrative against terrorism, which has yielded positive results.

Underlining the significance of unity, the prime minister urged all provinces and institutions to put aside their differences and work jointly to crush terrorism.

He also ordered institutions to intensify efforts to combat smuggling and crush the human trafficking networks, ensuring that smugglers are punished.

In the current fight for safer cities, PM Shehbaz urged the swift completion of Safe City projects in all major cities.

He stated that the National and Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center has been set up at NACTA to enhance coordination.

Moreover, the Forensic Science Agency in Islamabad is working, and improvements are witnessed in Punjab.

Participants in the meeting included key federal ministers, provincial representatives, and senior law enforcement officials.
