Phone Call between Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Canada

Nur-Sultan, 3 September 2021 (TDI): Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, received a phone call from Marc Garneau, Foreign Minister of Canada, to discuss the current situation of Afghanistan.

Kazakhstan and Canada have been working together since their diplomatic relations were established in 1992. Both parties highlighted the ways of interaction with the new authorities in Afghanistan. They also addressed how joint efforts between Kazakhstan and Canada can help Afghanistan overcome its humanitarian crisis.

In addition, issues of mutual interests were under consideration i.e. trade, economy, and security to elevate the bilateral relations between Nur-Sultan and Ottawa.
