Lahore (TDI): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has postponed the remainder of 50-over matches between Pakistan Shaheens and Sri Lanka A due to ongoing protest in the twin cities.
“After consultation with Sri Lankan cricket board, the PCB has decided to postpone the last two 50-over matches between Pakistan Shaheens and Sri Lanka A due to a political activity in the federal capital,” the cricket board said in a statement on Tuesday.

The remaining two matches of the series were scheduled at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday and Friday.
The PCB said it will announce new dates to complete the series after discussions with the Sri Lankan board.
The development comes as thousands of charged PTI protesters arrived in Islamabad after removing all obstacles placed by the government to stop them.

The protesters have taken over the streets of the federal capital despite the severe tear gas shelling and firing of rubber bullets.
They are demanding the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, who is incarcerated in Adiala Jail.
