-

Jerusalem, 7 October 2021 (TDI): The Prime Minister of the state of Palestine, Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh met with the new Consul General of the Belgian consulate in Jerusalem, Wilfried Pfeffer. The meeting was held to explore potential avenues for future collaboration.

The two sides discussed the most recent developments in the political arena of the region. Since Israel has been unlawfully targeting Palestine to achieve its nefarious goals. The need to increase cooperation in an array of fields was also discussed. Most notably, the technical and vocational education and training.

The state of Palestine enjoys extensive and cordial diplomatic relations with Belgium. The presence of Belgium in Palestine can be traced back to the 19th century. At that time though, the presence was to ensure the protection of its religious institutions and communities.
