Pakistani mangoes
Widely cultivated in Sindh and Punjab, mangoes are one of the most popular seasonal delicacies not just in Asia but also in the West. Known as the ‘King of Fruits’, mangoes are one of the major agricultural exports of Pakistan with high demand across the world.
Besides, the history of growing mangoes in areas that today form Pakistan is more than 4000 years old. The Pakistani mangoes are popular for their unique aroma, taste, and sweetness.
Surprisingly, Pakistan is the fourth-largest producer of mangoes in the world. As of right now, out of the total production of 1.8 Million tons, Pakistan exports approximately 6%. The mango export is likely to bring $127.5 million to the country.
When it comes to exporting Pakistani mangoes, the demand from these countries is at the top: United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, China, Australia, France, Germany, Bahrain, and Belgium.
