Islamabad, 12 September 2023 (TDI): The Ambassadors-designate of the People’s Republic of China, Venezuela (Non-Resident), and the Republic of Colombia (Non-resident) presented their credentials to the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi.

The diplomats individually presented their credentials while visiting the Aiwan-e-Sadr. During the meeting with the Chinese diplomat, President Dr. Arif Alvi stressed that China and Pakistan should work together more closely.

The long-time partners should collaborate in the fields of trade, economy, culture, and defense, according to him. He further enunciated that for the interest of the two nations, Pakistan wishes to further deepen its strategic ties with China.

China is a dependable and tried friend, reiterated the President. He welcomed Jiang Zaidong, the Chinese Ambassador-designate, expressing how much Pakistan treasured its relations with China.

China has consistently supported Pakistan during trying times. According to Dr. Arif Alvi, Pakistan will continue to help China on all important matters.

He also emphasized the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), saying that it would significantly benefit Pakistan’s socioeconomic growth.

Likewise, the initiative improved Pakistan’s capacity, modernized our infrastructure, and ensured a sustainable energy supply. The President continued by saying that Pakistan was fully committed to the prompt completion of all CPEC projects.

Lastly, he thanked China for its consistent position on the Jammu & Kashmir conflict as well as its unwavering support for Pakistan’s socioeconomic growth.

During his meeting with Jose Rafael Silva Aponte, Venezuela’s designated Ambassador, the President stated that Pakistan placed a special priority on enhancing its trade and economic ties with Venezuela.

He highlighted how Pakistan’s investment-friendly policies may help investors from the South American country.

While speaking with Julio Anibal Riano Velandia, the designated Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia, President Arif Alvi underlined the importance of further strengthening economic, cultural, and trade connections with Colombia.

Aside from that the President congratulated the Envoys on their appointments and expressed the hope that they would fulfill their duties in order to further strengthen the bilateral ties between their respective nations and Pakistan.
