Pakistan Participated in Bright Star Military Exercise 2021

Cairo, 21 September 2021 (TDI): Pakistan Armed Forces participated in the two-week-long multinational military exercise- the Bright Star 2021 conducted at Mohamed Naguib Military Base, Egypt, to strengthen regional security and enhanced collaboration with friendly nations.

For the first time since 2009, the army of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan participated in the weeks-long military exercise held in Egypt. Along with Pakistan, 19 other nations including Spain, Bahrain, United States, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, Kenya, Egypt, Iraq, Italy, Spain, Greece, Kuwait, Tanzania, UAE, Tunisia, Nigeria, and France.

The core objectives of the Military exercise were to strengthen regional stability and peace, counter regional hybrid threats, and aggrandized maritime security. The purpose of the military drills was to gather all the regional and international partners to combat regional and international conventional and hybrid security threats.

The exercise ended on 17 September with the presence of military delegates from all of the 20 nation-states participating in the exercise.
