Pakistan anticipates bolstering trade ties with Belarus

Minsk, 6 October 2021 (TDI): A delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries paid a visit to the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) on October 4 in order to identify new avenues for cooperation in trade.

The Chairman BUCE Mr Alexander Osmolovsky and the head of the Foreign Relations Department, Mr Alexander Bashily warmly welcomed the delegation and gave an elaborative briefing to the business delegation.

Moreover, the Chairman BUCE put forward an overview of the BUCE and they enunciated on how Pakistan-Belarus can create a win-win situation through this platform.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan was also present at the interaction. He underscored the need of consolidating bilateral trade ties between both countries.

Furthermore, the Ambassador anticipated that Pakistan will surely catch the boat and take full advantage of the BUCE platform for expanding the trade between the two countries.

The Pakistani delegation is led by a renowned businessman and Chairman of Pakistan-Belarus Business Council (PBBC), Shahzad Sabir.

This delegation has 64 businesspersons, one of the largest business and trade delegations of Pakistan in recent times, and encompasses diverse business domains such as Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Transportation, Textile, Chemicals, Construction, Edible oils, Agrochemical, Leather, Fertilizer, Fruits and Seeds, Timber, Furniture, Automotive, Telecom and many other areas.
