Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan’s First Lady, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, met Dublin City Councilor Ammar Ali as they discussed strengthening democracy, upholding shared values, and fostering closer ties between Pakistan and Ireland.
Councilor Ali expressed his deep respect for the leadership and legacy of Pakistan Peoples Party founders, including Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
He also shared insights from his research on Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s contribution to democracy and social justice. The First Lady conveyed her best wishes for his upcoming election as Dublin’s Deputy Mayor and expressed hope for a successful tenure in public service.
She encouraged him to continue his efforts to engage with young Pakistanis, sharing his insights on democratic participation and civic responsibility.
The Irish Embassy in Islamabad also hosted Ammar Ali alongside the members of Friends of Ireland Parliamentary Group in Pakistan.
