# Pakistani High Commission in Canada Commemorates Marka-e-Haq Anniversary

**Ottawa (TDI): **The High Commission of Pakistan in Ottawa, along with Pakistan’s Consulates General in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, commemorated the first anniversary of *Marka-e-Haq.*

A dignified ceremony held at the High Commission in Ottawa drew a large gathering of members of the Pakistani diaspora, diplomats, and friends of Pakistan.

The event highlighted national unity, resilience, and remembrance of the military operation and its significance in Pakistan’s recent history.

Messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were read out during the ceremony.

The messages praised the courage and professionalism of the armed forces and emphasized the resilience and steadfastness of the Pakistani nation during the events associated with *Marka-e-Haq*.

Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Muhammad Saleem, paid tribute to the armed forces for what he described as their “courage and professionalism” demonstrated during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos in May 2025.

“The Marka-e-Haq triumph stands as a powerful reminder that nations are strengthened not merely by military capability but by the steadfast spirit of the people to defend their legitimate rights and national interests,” he said.

Special prayers were also offered for the martyrs during the ceremony, with participants honoring their sacrifices and expressing solidarity with the armed forces.

The ceremony concluded with a collective pledge that the spirit of *Marka-e-Haq* would continue to inspire Pakistan in building a stronger, more resilient, and united nation in the years ahead.
