# Pakistan Advocates for Inter-Ethnic Harmony in Bosnia at UNSC

**New York (TDI):** Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of Bosnia and Herzegovina during a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) debate, on Wednesday.

The Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, stressed that the General Framework Agreement for Peace widely known as the Dayton Peace Accord remains the essential foundation for stability and progress in the region.

The Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN show that this statement aligns with Pakistan’s responsibilities as an elected member of the Security Council for the 2025-2026 term.

Ambassador Asim ensured that full adherence to the 1995 accord is necessary for the well-being of all constituent peoples including Bosniaks, Croats and Serbs.
