New Delhi (TDI): India’s Shiv Sena has called for the resignations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, labelling the failure of “Operation Sindoor,” a national humiliation.
Party leader Sanjay Raut said that Modi no longer eligible to remain in power,” citing the operation’s failure and a subsequent ceasefire with Pakistan brokered by the US.
The demand follows growing criticism after the military setback and diplomatic intervention by US President Donald Trump, which led to a halt in hostilities.
Raut also urged the government to convene an emergency session of Parliament to address the failed operation, the ceasefire, and the Pahalgam attack.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed similar views, calling for an all-party meeting and debate in the parliament.
