Oman Sultan Witnessed Signing of 6 Agreements

The Sultan of Oman and the Emir of Qatar were witnesses of the signing of 6 cooperation agreements.

Muscat, 22 November 2021 (TDI): The Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, and his brother Emir of Oman, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, witnessed the six signed cooperation agreements.

OMAN-QATAR AGREEMENTS

The agreements were the field of the military side, avoidance of double taxation, and prevention of tax evasion on income, capital, labor, investment, tourism, and also hotels Maritime Transport and Ports. The meeting took place at the Emiri Diwan headquarters in the Qatari capital, Doha, this afternoon.

MILITARY AGREEMENT

The Sultanate of Oman and Qatar signed the military side cooperation agreement. Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq bin Taimur Al Said signed the military agreement representing Oman. On the other hand, the Ministry of foreign affairs of defense, Khalid bin Muhammad Al Attiyah, signed the Qatari side.

The Minister of Finance, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, on the Qatari side, and Minister of Finance, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwar, signed the agreement on avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion.

LABOR AND HUMAN RESOURCE AGREEMENT

The Minister of Labor, Muhad bin Saeed, representing Oman, signed the cooperation agreement of labor and human resource development also. The different sides consented to a collaboration arrangement between the Omani Investment Authority and the Qatar Investment Authority also.

TRAVEL INDUSTRY AND LODGINGS AGREEMENT 

Mohammed Al-Murshidi, representing Oman, and Mansour container Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority, on the Qatari side. A participation arrangement in the field of the travel industry and lodgings was likewise marked.

The Omani side by Abdul Salam bin Muhammad Al-Murshidi, Oman’s Investment Authority Chairman, and Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, on the Qatari side, signed an agreement.

FIELD OF OCEANIC VEHICLES AND PORTS 

Finally, the different sides consented to an arrangement in the field of oceanic vehicles and ports. Muhammad Al-Murshidi, from Oman, and Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, on the Qatari side, signed cooperation agreements.
