Oman attends the Ministerial Meeting between GCC and Russia

New York, 25 September 2021 (TDI): The representative of Oman participated in the meeting between the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Several issues of mutual interest were the center of discussion in the meeting. The participants underscored the significance of enhanced cooperation between the Russian Federation and the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The general consensus was to improve the relations and increase collaborative efforts for the sake of regional stability and security.

Dr. Mohammed bin Awad Al-Hassan, Oman’s permanent representative to the United Nations represented his country in the joint ministerial meeting.
