Nur-Sultan, 11 August 2022 (TDI): Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has announced the results of the 7th “New Kazakhstan through the Eyes of the Foreign Media” contest.

The jury for this year’s contest included the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan and the President of Kazakhstan’s Chief Editors Club. The Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Tourism, Talgat Amanbayev, was also part of the jury.

Earlier in June, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, in partnership with Kazakhstan’s Chief Editors’ Club and Kazakh Tourism National Company, announced the 7th “New Kazakhstan through the Eyes of Foreign Media” contest for foreign journalists covering Kazakhstan.

For the contest, more than fifty applications were submitted from foreign journalists and bloggers from 40 countries. Applications comprised stories/content on Kazakhstan, including international relations, history, culture, tourism, health care, sports, and others.

The pieces presented were published or appeared in magazines, online resources, newspapers, popular internet platforms, blogs, and ad podcasts.

Considering the applications, foreign media paid considerable attention to the systemic changes in Kazakhstan, including political, economic, and social reforms. Seven foreign authors were listed as the winners of this contest as per the jury’s decision.
