Vienna, 29 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Austria Alexander Schallenberg met with Foreign Minister of Montenegro Radulovic.
Montenegro is also a candidate country in European Union since 2010. Austria and Montenegro have had good bilateral relations since July 2006.

Both sides discussed the European Union enlargement policy keeping in view the fact that Montenegro is also a candidate country for the EU.
Moreover, both countries discussed the upcoming Summit of Western Balkans which will be hosted by the President of Slovenia on 6 October 2021.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Schallenberg underlined the need for Dialogue to overcome the divisions of Montenegro.
Further, Austrian Foreign Minister Schallenberg appreciated the accession of Montenegro in European Union as a candidate country on 17 December 2010.
