Malala Set to Visit Pakistan for Education Summit

Islamabad (TDI): Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai will be traveling to Pakistan at the weekend to attend the international conference on girls’ education in Muslim communities, officials said on Wednesday.

Malala will be one of the keynote speakers at the two-day event on January 11-12 in Islamabad, according to The Express Tribune.

This marks her third visit to Pakistan since she was airlifted to UK for life-saving treatment in October 2012.

At just 15 years old, Malala was shot in the head by the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for her advocacy of girls’ education.
