# Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan Vow to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

**Bishkek (TDI):** The Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Sadyr Japarov and Emomali Rahmon, held a telephone discussion in which they reviewed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz President, both sides noted with satisfaction the positive progress in cooperation between the two countries.

They emphasized the importance of fully implementing previously agreed commitments and reiterated their intention to further enhance political dialogue, economic ties, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The leaders also discussed upcoming high-level meetings, including events within multilateral frameworks. Special attention was given to the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which will take place in Bishkek under Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship.

In addition, the two presidents exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest. They concluded the conversation by reaffirming their commitment to strengthening Kyrgyz-Tajik relations based on mutual respect, trust, and cooperation.

Observers note that continued dialogue between the two countries reflects a broader effort to promote stability and constructive engagement in Central Asia. Strengthened cooperation is expected to contribute to regional development, connectivity, and long-term peace.
