# Iran Warns of ‘Stronger Response’ to Any New US Aggression

**Tehran (TDI):** Iran has issued a sharp warning to the United States, saying any renewed military action would be met with an even stronger response, amid ongoing uncertainty over whether diplomatic negotiations on its nuclear program can succeed.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, said in remarks carried by state media that Iran would respond forcefully to any attack. He said any new aggression would not only trigger a stronger reaction from Tehran but would also, in his words, “make Trump even more ashamed.”

He added that Washington must choose between accepting diplomatic terms or facing what he described as Iran’s missile capability.

Separately, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei reaffirmed Tehran’s position that uranium enrichment is a sovereign right and “non-negotiable,” dismissing external pressure on the issue.

The comments come as US President Donald Trump signaled a pause in planned military action against Iran, saying he had halted an attack following what he described as a new peace proposal from Tehran and requests from several Gulf states, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Trump said there remains a “very good chance” of reaching an agreement aimed at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, while warning that military options remain on standby if diplomacy fails.

He also indicated that indirect communication between Washington and Tehran has continued through Pakistan, which has been playing a mediating role in regional messaging.

Despite signs of possible diplomatic movement, Iranian officials continue to adopt a hardline tone. Military commanders have warned that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared for retaliation, with one senior commander stating that any renewed attack would be met with a swift and powerful response.
