# Iran War Widens as Houthis Fire Missile at Israel

**Sanaa (TDI):** The Middle East conflict has widened further, with Houthis launching their first missile attack on Israel since the war involving Iran escalated, raising fears of a new front opening in the region.

The group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, claimed responsibility for the strike, saying it was carried out in response to ongoing attacks on Iran and its allies. Israel’s military said the missile was intercepted near Beersheba, with no casualties reported.

The development signals a dangerous expansion of the conflict, as Yemen risks becoming directly involved after earlier warnings from the Houthis that they were ready to intervene militarily.

Meanwhile, the confrontation between Iran and the United States has intensified. Iranian strikes targeted the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, injuring around 10 US personnel and damaging military equipment, according to American officials.

Iran-aligned groups in Iraq have also stepped up attacks. The so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed strikes on multiple US-linked bases and infrastructure in Jordan, adding to the growing regional spillover.

The broader war, sparked by US and Israeli strikes on Iran, has now spread across several fronts, including Lebanon, Syria, and parts of the Gulf. Thousands of civilians have been killed, and global energy markets have been severely disrupted.

Air strikes and drone attacks have also hit key infrastructure beyond Iran. Kuwait reported damage to its main airport’s radar system, while Oman confirmed a drone strike at Salalah port that injured a worker.
