# Indian navy ship arrives in Vietnam with COVID-19 relief aid

Hanoi, 31 August 2021 (TDI): Indian Naval Ship Airavat, a Landing Ship Tank, arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on August 30 with COVID-19 relief aid to Vietnam. The ship carried 100 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen in containers and 300 oxygen concentrators.

It is a commitment to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam. The relations between the two countries elevated to the level of [Strategic Partnership ](https://www.pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1682468)during the visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to India in July 2007.
