Dushanbe, 17 September 2021 (TDI): A meeting took place between the Presidents of Iran and Kazakhstan in Dushanbe, on the sidelines. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and President of Iran Ibrahim Raisi are there to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2021.
Aside from the exchange of pleasantries, diplomatic relations and cooperation were also the centers of discussion. In this first significant engagement between the two Presidents, it was also highlighted how the meeting had the potential to further enhance the relations between the two countries. In addition to that, the prospects of deepening the relationship between the two states in the future regarding cooperation and mutual cooperation in trade, transport, agriculture, investment, and logistics were negotiated.
Furthermore, they enunciated that Iran and Kazakhstan enjoy a cordial relationship in the Caspian region as well as the Islamic world. It will keep on engaging in the future for mutual benefit.
