Canberra (TDI): Pakistan’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Australia, Irfan Shaukat, has pledged to deliver transparent, efficient, and accessible services to the Pakistani community across Australia and the Pacific region.
In a message addressed to expatriates shortly after assuming office, Shaukat praised the dedication and achievements of Pakistanis living in Australia, noting that their professionalism and contributions had brought recognition and respect to their homeland.
“The Pakistani community abroad is our pride and a living bridge between nations,” he wrote, adding that their positive role continues to strengthen Pakistan’s image internationally.
In addition to his assignment in Australia, Shaukat also holds concurrent accreditation to Fiji, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu.

He said he looked forward to working closely with community members to further deepen people-to-people ties and explore new areas of cooperation.
Reaffirming his mission to serve the diaspora, the high commissioner said that both the High Commission and the Consulates General would continue striving to provide “transparent, efficient, and easily accessible” services to Pakistanis living abroad.
“It will be our constant effort to serve as a source of support and facilitation for every member of the Pakistani community,” he said.

“This commitment aligns with the vision of the prime minister and deputy prime minister of Pakistan and reflects my personal dedication to public service.”
Shaukat also encouraged overseas Pakistanis to remain engaged with the Mission, share their feedback, and take an active part in initiatives aimed at promoting Pakistan’s rich culture, heritage, and national interests in their host countries.
