New York, 25 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Sweden, Ann Linde on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood expressed the willingness of Pakistan to strengthen bilateral relations with Sweden in political, economic, technical and educational spheres. Reiterating the shift towards geo-economics of the government of Pakistan, he said Swedish businesses have huge prospects of trade and investment in Pakistan. Sweden, he stated is also an important country in the multilateral forum like European Union (EU).
Both officials also exchanged views on the evolving situation in Afghanistan and other regional issues. Foreign Minister Anne Linde appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in evacuations process in Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood also presented her the dossier of Indian human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
