Foreign diplomats congratulate Pakistan on winning match

Dubai, 25 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan receives wishes from diplomats of various countries on its landslide victory against India in the T20 World Cup cricket match, yesterday.

On Sunday, Pakistan and India had a match at the T20 World Cup in Dubai. The victor of the game was the Pakistani Team. The team won by 10 wickets and it is the first time in a T20 match that Pakistan won by 10 wickets against any team.

On this wonderful victory, the diplomats of different countries congratulated Pakistan. Among those, who wished Pakistan, diplomats from Azerbaijan, China, Denmark, Germany, the Netherland, the European Union, and Turkey are included.

The Ambassador of Turkey to Pakistan, Mustafa Yurdakul wished Pakistan for further success and tweeted, “May the morning of 15 November be as good and shiny as today…Keep up the good work”

Netherlands Ambassador to Pakistan Wouter Plomp also came on Twitter in the morning and posted a picture of the newspaper, to appreciate the picture of Virat Kohli and Mohammad Rizwan, Indian and Pakistani cricketer respectively, hugging each other.

Moreover, the Chinese Cultural Counsellor in Pakistan replied with a congratulatory comment on Asim Saleem Bajwa’s tweet. Zhang Heqing said, “Warm congratulations! Keep going!”

Pakistan also received wishes from Ali Alizada, Ambassador-designate of Azerbaijan to Iran and former Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan. He tweeted, “Good to know about the victory of Green Shirts. MashAllah! Congratulations Pakistan”.

From European ambassadors, more wishes came towards Pakistan. Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara tweeted, “What an amazing win for #Pakistan. Well done and congratulations #PakvsIndia”.

Danish Ambassador to Pakistan, Lis Rosenholm, congratulated Pakistan and praised the performance of the team. 

Furthermore, Youth Ambassador of the German Embassy Islamabad Marion Pfennigs said, “What a game!! So well played and thanks to that flawless run of Babar and Rizwan there wasn’t even a nerve-racking-ending this time – I could get used to this!! Now off watching the celebratory fireworks”

Like many others, Bénédict de Cerjat, Ambassador of Switzerland to Pakistan, also admired the sportsmanship between the two countries.
