Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed visits Uganda

Kampala, 30 Aug 2021 (TDI): Yesterday morning, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and his delegation arrived in Kampala, Uganda.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed appreciated President Yoweri K Museveni for a warm welcome to Uganda and discussed important matters on various bilateral and regional issues. The Prime Minister also expressed his interest in arranging another meeting.
According to President Yoweri Museveni’s Twitter, the meeting between the two leaders of Ethiopia and Uganda was fruitful.
Ethiopian Ministry Head of Prosperity Party Main Office H.E Binalf Anduwalem, Ethiopian State Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E Redwan Hussain, and Ethiopia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uganda Alemtsehay Meseret attended the meeting. On Uganda’s side, the Foreign Ministry’s Hon. Gen. Jeje Odongo and Uganda’s High Commissioner to Addis Ababa, H.E Ababa Rebecca Amuge Otengo attended the meeting.
Following the meeting in Kampala, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed traveled to Kigali to meet with the President of Rwanda Paul Kagama.
