Islamabad (TDI): Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty is arriving in Pakistan today for an official two-day visit, the Foreign Office (FO) announced on Saturday.
The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. According to the FO, the trip underscores the “longstanding and cordial relations” between Pakistan and Egypt, rooted in shared faith, cultural ties, and common perspectives on regional and international matters.
During his visit, Abdelatty is scheduled to hold a tête-à-tête meeting as well as delegation-level talks with his Pakistani counterpart. The discussions will cover the full spectrum of bilateral relations, with particular focus on political, economic, defense, cultural, and people-to-people cooperation. The situation in Gaza and broader regional developments are also expected to feature prominently.
The FO noted that the visit aims to “reinforce Pakistan–Egypt cooperation and further advance the longstanding partnership between the two brotherly countries.”
